The device is enclosed in a case with a volume of only about five liters: dimensions are 238 × 96 × 216 mm. Applied eight-core Intel Core i9-9980HK processor with a clock speed of up to 5.0 GHz in turbo mode. The chip functions in tandem with 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM. A two-port gigabit controller is responsible for the wired connection to the computer network. Wireless capabilities are provided by built-in Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters.

The computer has six USB 3.1 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.0a interface for displaying images, two high-speed Thunderbolt 3 ports, two jacks for network cables and standard audio jacks. Used power supply unit 80 Plus Platinum 500W.

There are more reports of AMD’s next generation APU, codenamed Rembrandt. An informant @MebiuW is gradually revealing AMD’s plans by posting snippets of an inner slide. According to the presented (not yet fully assembled) slide, in 2022 AMD will release Raphael, Dragon Crest (codename confirmed by the whistleblower himself) and Rembrandt processors.

Judging by the information from the slide, Rembrandt hybrid processors will be printed in compliance with 6nm standards. Previously, only the 5nm process technology featured in AMD’s next-generation chips, but it looks like the company decided to play it safe so as not to once again face a shortage of new crystals. Also, Rembrandt should receive computational cores with Zen 3 architecture and integrated graphics of the next generation Navi 2.

AMD Rembrandt is the codename for next generation APUs designed for both desktop and laptop PCs. These processors will be the successors of Cezanne, which will replace the modern Renoir processors in the market. Rembrandt will enter the market around 2022. AMD will reportedly sell the Ryzen 5000 series Vermeer and Cezanne processors under the market names of the Ryzen 5000 series. In this case, Rembrandt could get model numbers like 6000G and 6000H, and their architecture should provide a target power consumption of 45-65W.

More controversial informant @patrickschur_ also provided new data on this product. According to his latest tweet, AMD Rembrand will support DDR5-5200 memory and up to 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes, and in this series of APUs, AMD will move to a new pad – rumored to be AM5. This is evidenced by a recent find on the website of the Polish branch of the retailer MediaMarkt. Attentive people found a mention of the Switch Pro console in the service.

Relevant information shared a Twitter user under the pseudonym OldMrSmiley. He noticed that the name of the category of products related to Nintendo Switch has changed in the store. Resource employees called it “Consoles Nintendo Switch and Switch Pro”. This is evidenced by the screenshots in the news.

At the time of this writing, MediaMarkt has not changed the category name. True, there is no Switch Pro console in the assortment of goods, so it was not possible to obtain additional information on the characteristics of the console.

The Rival 3 Wireless is the first SteelSeries gaming mouse to feature the new TrueMove Air optical sensor technology. It was developed in collaboration with the game sensor manufacturer PixArt and provides a resolution of up to 18,000 CPI (count per inch, or readings per inch). The claimed sensor speed is 450 inches per second (IPS), it can withstand acceleration up to 40G.

Recall that the original version of the Rival 3 mouse uses a TrueMove Core sensor with 8500 CPI, 300 IPS and support for 35G acceleration. Looking at the SteelSeries Sensei Ten mouse, the company also gave the new Rival 3 wireless sensor the ability to work on any surface.

The mouse polling rate is 1000 Hz and the response time is 1 ms when connected to a USB transmitter. The novelty also uses mechanical left and right buttons with a declared resource of work of 60 million clicks. The user is also available five preset profiles, RGB-backlighting, manual adjustment of the sensor and the “rodent” polling rate through the proprietary software SteelSeries Engine.

This spring, ASUS unveiled the new ROG Strix G15 and G17 series of notebooks. They are distinguished from their predecessors by slightly improved hardware components, in particular – more efficient cooling, as well as a more effective appearance. Now, when buying a laptop of this series, you can choose one of three colors, which are called “Original Black”, “Silver Ice” and “Electropunk”. The latter, however, is only available for the 15-inch version. If we add to this a powerful hardware component, then the target audience of these models is visible to the naked eye – these are young gamers and professional e-sportsmen, at the same time striving to stand out from the crowd.

Let’s take a look at the 17-inch version of the ASUS ROG Strix in the G712LV modification: this laptop has something to impress both regular users and avid gamers.

ASUS ROG Strix G17 comes in a large, flat box styled after ROG (Republic of Gamers) products. The box is heavy, so its plastic handle came in handy.

⇡ #Design, case ergonomics and lighting

The version of ASUS ROG Strix G17 provided to us for testing is made in the “Silver Ice” color scheme and looks relatively laconic. It is worth noting that the design of the laptop was developed jointly with the specialists of the design bureau of the world-famous company BMW, although you will certainly not find here, of course, the famous BMW “nostrils” here.

The laptop case is made of plastic and has a brushed structure, and the chrome logo of the ROG series is placed on the top cover.

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the silver color is the invisibility of dust particles that eventually appear on any case or object. We do not know how the Electropank design will be, but black cases constantly suffer from this problem, but Silver Ice will retain its presentable appearance much longer.

According to our measurements, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 measures 400 × 294 × 30mm and weighs 2826 grams. Obviously, this is a tabletop gaming machine, not a portable everyday laptop. The laptop is thinner at the front – only 26 mm.

The top panel with the display can be opened with one hand, you don’t have to hold the laptop by the base. It would seem that this is a trifle, but in the end it is from such trifles that the impression is formed about the comfort of working with a laptop, and in this regard, ASUS ROG Strix G17 does not raise any questions.

The base of the ASUS ROG Strix G17 is perforated with multiple longitudinal slots to provide airflow to the cooling system. We also highlight the rubber feet on it to give the laptop stability and anti-slip.

On the front end of the laptop case there is only a small ledge in the center, behind which it is convenient to open the panel with the display.

On the opposite side, two ventilation grilles are visible, an 8P8C network port, an HDMI 2.0b video output, a power adapter connector and USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (10 Gb / s).

And if the conclusion of the first three behind the laptop is quite justified, then the placement of USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C there seems to us not very convenient, even though it is possible to implement the DisplayPort video output through it, which, logically, should be on the back.

On the left side of the laptop, there are three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports (5 Gb / s) and a combined audio jack for headphones or a microphone.

The right side is devoid of ports and connectors and contains only a ventilation grill.

Small side slots closer to the front of the laptop, which look like a slot for a card reader, actually hide the speakers. Unfortunately, the laptop does not have a card reader itself.

Here we will also highlight the traditionally high assembly quality for ASUS, the absence of backlash and squeaks, as well as pleasant-to-touch panel surfaces. Touching plastic with your hands while working with a laptop is still more comfortable than metal.

In addition to all of the above, the new ASUS ROG Strix G17 is equipped with extended LED lighting. And we’re not just referring to the customizable keyboard backlighting we’ve covered above.

We are talking about the backlight of the laptop case, which can also be flexibly configured through the proprietary application.

The fact is that LED strips are built into the front and sides of the ASUS ROG Strix G17 case. Aura backlighting makes your notebook the center of attention with friends or in your normal home environment. A few photos below show the maximum brightness of the backlight, and if it seems too high to someone, then don’t worry – everything is regulated and also synchronized with other devices.

In addition, when starting or entering sleep mode, the laptop winks several times with the backlight, meeting the user or saying goodbye to him. It reminded me of the adjustable delay function of turning off the headlights of the car, when he sees off his owner, highlighting his path (“Follow me home”). In general, beautiful, original and stylish. I don’t like it – everything can be turned off very simply with a couple of clicks.

ASUS ROG Strix G17 is equipped with a membrane-type keyboard with a block of numeric keys. The developers especially focus on the fact that the keyboard is designed for fans of 3D games, taking into account their requirements and features. We have a test version of the laptop, so there is no Russian keyboard layout yet.

By adaptation for gamers, ASUS primarily means the exclusive ROG Overstroke technology – accelerated (early) actuation of clicks, which allows the player to react faster to changes in the gameplay.

At the same time, the keyboard implements the technology of independent processing of keystrokes, when each contact of the key with the sensor is processed separately from the others, which makes it possible to exclude incorrect operations. Actuations themselves are practically silent, no clicks or characteristic “clicks”. The keys are full-sized, comfortable to type, and the work surface is large enough to keep your hands from hanging off the laptop. Even with intensive work and a serious load on the processor and video card, the case at hand becomes barely warm, no discomfort.

For the convenience of gamers on the keyboard, the group of arrow keys is isolated, the size of the space bar has been increased, and the group of game keys WASD is highlighted.

Function keys F1-F12 have a dual purpose, and above them there is a small group of keys for adjusting the volume, turning on or off the microphone and adjusting the speed of the cooling system fans, as well as the ROG key, designed to launch the proprietary ASUS Armory Crate utility.

As we already said, the keyboard is equipped with backlighting and three-level brightness control.

The backlight can be configured via the Aura app, and can be synchronized with other devices connected to the laptop (such as a mouse and headphones).

Also, the laptop is equipped with a two-button touchpad measuring 108 × 59 mm.

No backlash or squeaks were noticed while working with it, and the sensitivity is adjusted to any requirements. The touchpad buttons are pressed without clicks.

The laptop power key is located in the upper right corner of the operating panel and has a backlight indicator.

Just below, on the same edge, you can see the port cap for the Keystone NFC key. ASUS ROG Strix G15 / 17 models do not have this function; Strix SCAR 15/17 versions are equipped with such a key.

Indicators for power, battery charge, drive activity and airplane mode are displayed above the keyboard and are always in front of your eyes, but do not distract during work.

We add that the ASUS ROG Strix G17 does not have a built-in video camera – alas, this price has to be paid for a thin display frame. However, it is worth noting that every time we scold regular cameras for low image quality, and for those users who need a video camera, the company offers to purchase an optional ROG GC21.

ASUS ROG Strix G17 is equipped with a 17.3-inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Matt surface. The side bezels of the display are 6.5 mm wide, the top 10 mm and the bottom a minimum height of 29 mm.

The display panel is hinged on the chassis with aluminum brackets.

The opening angle of the display is approximately 130 degrees.

Now about the technical characteristics of the display. Our ASUS ROG Strix G17 uses an IPS-matrix with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a declared response time of 3 ms – an excellent gaming display for the most discerning gamers and cyber-athletes. Matrix marking В173HAN05.0, manufacturer – AU Optronics.

We checked the display quality with the X-Rite i1 Display Pro calibrator and Argyll CMS software with the DispcalGUI graphical interface. All measurements were taken prior to calibration. Here are their results.

Judging by the results obtained, the display of the ASUS ROG Strix G17 laptop is already fairly accurately calibrated at the factory, all parameters are within acceptable limits. The monitor’s color gamut was fixed at 94.2% sRGB, which is also quite high. As for the maximum brightness, at 100% in the monitor settings menu, it reached 337 cd / m22, and other brightness values ​​in 10% steps in the monitor settings, we will show in the following diagram.

We had no questions about the uniformity of the backlighting of the ASUS ROG Strix G17 display.

The matrix speed is very high, the smoothness of the gameplay at 240 Hz is simply reference. We add that the Armory Crate branded application has a GameVisual tab, where you can set the color temperature and select one of eight preset display presets for different conditions.

If you describe in a few words the overall impression of the ASUS ROG Strix G17 display, then we can say that it is as close to the ideal of a gaming display as possible. For full immersion, only a larger size is not enough, but this will not be a laptop format at all.

⇡ #Internal structure and accessories

The base of the laptop is a one-piece plastic panel with aluminum shielding. To remove it, you need to unscrew 12 screws around the perimeter and in the center, and also disconnect the backlight cables.

BaboutMost of the internal space of the laptop is reserved for a dual-circuit cooling system, to which we will return later. Two dies of RAM not soldered to the board, two SSDs and a relatively small battery immediately draw attention to themselves.

The motherboard chipset belongs to the Comet Lake HM470 family, and the AMI BIOS version is dated July 13, 2020 and is labeled G712LV.310. In our version of the ASUS ROG Strix G17, the Intel Core i7-10750H central processor, released using 14-nanometer technology, is not installed at the maximum performance, but more than sufficient.

It has 6 cores, 12 threads and is capable of operating at frequencies from 2.6 to 5.0 GHz. The maximum TDP level of this processor can reach 45 watts.

The amount of RAM in ASUS ROG Strix G series laptops can be 32 GB, but the ASUS ROG Strix G17 version provided to us for tests has a total of 16 GB memory, typed in two 8GB DDR4 modules manufactured by Samsung (marking M471A1K43DB1-CWE).

By default, the memory operates at an effective frequency of 2.933 GHz with timings of 21-21-21-47_2T, although according to the specifications its nominal frequency is 3.2 GHz.

StaboutIt should be noted that if you choose the ASUS ROG Strix G17 version with the most powerful Intel Core i7-10875H processor, then the memory frequency will be 3.2 GHz. However, the difference in performance between memory with a memory frequency of 2.933 and 3.2 GHz will not exceed 4-5%.

Let the laptop be a gaming one, for 2D modes, the Intel UHD Graphics integrated into the central processor is used. In turn, for 3D applications (read – for games), a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card is provided in the laptop.

Recall that it is equipped with six gigabytes of GDDR6 video memory operating at an effective frequency of 11 GHz, providing a bandwidth of 264 GB / s with a 192-bit bus. GPU frequencies, according to GPU-Z, can vary in the range from 1005 to 1560 MHz, but in fact, in tests and games, we got different values, which we will discuss in one of the next sections.

The disk subsystem is rather unusual in ASUS ROG Strix G17. The laptop has two Intel SSDs of the 660p series at once, labeled SSDPEKNW512G8, 512 GB each. Both drives are sealed with metallized heat-distributing strips; we did not peel them off on the test sample.

These are fairly reliable drives, for which Intel provides a five-year warranty.

Despite the low cost, by modern standards, each such drive does not shine with its speed characteristics: the declared sequential read speed is 1500 MB / s, and the sequential write speed is 1000 MB / s. ASUS solved this problem quite simply by installing two such drives in a laptop and combining them into RAID 0. It turned out efficiently: see what speed indicators the ASUS ROG Strix G17 disk subsystem demonstrates in three popular benchmarks (on the left, the results when powered from the mains, and on the right – from the battery).

As you can see, there is a level of performance of more expensive SSD models, which will be more than enough for both professional gamers and for processing digital content. It is also important that in everyday work the drives do not heat up above 43 degrees Celsius, and in the AIDA64 Extreme stress test the temperature of the hottest of them rose only to 51 degrees Celsius.

Next to the drives, to the left of the battery, there is free space in the laptop, very similar to the seat for an HDD.

However, there is no connector for its connection, as there is no mounting system for such a disk. Yes, and in the specifications of ASUS ROG Strix G17, support for 2.5-inch HDD is not indicated. But it is indicated that such laptops can be equipped not only with a pair of SSDs in RAID 0 (even with two terabyte models), but also with single SSDs from 512 GB to 1 TB, and a 15-inch version of a laptop can also be found with one 256 GB drive.

The laptop has two network adapters. The cable network is implemented by the Realtek RTL8168 / 8111 gigabit controller, and the wireless one is implemented by the Intel AX201NGW module supporting Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and MIMO 2 × 2 mode. Беспроводной адаптер может работать в частотных диапазонах 2,5 и 5,0 ГГц (160 МГц), а его максимальная пропускная способность может достигать 2,4 Гбит/с. По заявлениям производителя, в корпусе ноутбука встроены четыре антенны беспроводного модуля, которые с помощью эксклюзивной технологии ROG RangeBoost способны увеличивать зону покрытия на 30 % и повышать стабильность беспроводного сигнала.

Несмотря на тот факт, что профессиональные игроки обычно используют наушники, аудиосистема в ASUS ROG Strix G17 оставляет о себе очень приятное впечатление. Она реализована аудиокодеком Realtek и двумя динамиками мощностью по 4 Вт каждый.

Поддерживается фирменная технология интеллектуального усиления Smart AMP, которая без искажений способна в 2,8 раза увеличить максимальную громкость, втрое повысить низкие частоты и на 6,5 дБА расширить динамический диапазон. Действительно, по субъективным ощущениям, акустика ноутбука звучит вовсе не по-ноутбучьи, а как очень приличная стереосистема с намёками на объёмное звучание. По крайней мере, для помещения площадью около 20 квадратных метров запаса громкости более чем достаточно.

⇡#Система охлаждения, эффективность и уровень шума

Поскольку в ноутбуках серии ASUS ROG Strix G17 используются очень производительные компоненты, их охлаждению традиционно уделяется особое внимание. В системе охлаждения реализовано два отдельных контура — для центрального процессора и для видеокарты. В каждом из них установлен медный теплораспределитель, медные тепловые трубки, медные радиаторы с ультра-тонкими рёбрами (0,1 мм) и вентиляторы.

Эксклюзивной особенностью ноутбуков ASUS ROG стало использование высокоэффективного жидкого металла Thermal Grizzly [теплопроводностью 73 Вт/(м·К)] на кристалле процессора. Процесс его автоматического нанесения продемонстрирован в следующем видео.

Благодаря использованию такого термоинтерфейса разработчикам удалось снизить температуры на 12 градусов Цельсия, повысить частоту CPU на 100 МГц и снизить уровень шума на 4 %. Здорово, конечно, но у меня остался вопрос: почему жидкий металл применяется только на кристалле центрального процессора, а ещё более греющаяся видеокарта по каким-то непонятным причинам забыта?

Охлаждают конструкцию два вентилятора, в каждом из которых по 83 тончайших лопасти n-Blade из жидкокристаллического полимера, повышающего их прочность на 33 % в сравнении с показателями обычных вентиляторов. Воздух засасывается снизу ноутбука и выбрасывается через две задние и одну боковую вентиляционную решётки.

Вентиляторы имеют систему очистки от пыли, благодаря которой высокая эффективность системы охлаждения ноутбука сохраняется на протяжении всего периода эксплуатации.

На программном уровне охлаждение ноутбука регулируется приложением Armoury Crate. В нём предусмотрены три предустановленных режима работы ноутбука: Turbo, Performance и Silent.

При работе от аккумулятора доступны только режимы Performance и Silent, но в обоих случаях есть и ручная настройка всех параметров.

Кроме этого, в Armoury Crate реализована система мониторинга.

Для оценки эффективности охлаждения центрального процессора в ноутбуке ASUS ROG Strix G17 мы использовали утилиту powerMAX, а параметры мониторинга считывала и отображала HWiNFO64. Тестирование проводилось при температуре в помещении около 25 градусов Цельсия под управлением операционной системы Windows 10 Pro x64 с установкой последних доступных драйверов и обновлений.

Первые три цикла теста ASUS ROG Strix G17 мы провели при его подключении к адаптеру питания, и вот какие результаты получили.

В самом производительном режиме работы процессора, Turbo, его температура очень быстро достигла 96 градусов Цельсия (по наиболее горячему ядру), а затем – за счёт повышения скорости вентиляторов кулера и одновременного снижения частоты – температура стабилизировалась на 88-90 градусах Цельсия при частоте 3,6 ГГц. Уровень шума ноутбука в таком режиме работы был очень высоким. Следующий режим настроек, Performance, пытался балансировать между производительностью и температурами с уровнем шума, хотя в начале теста CPU вновь прогрелся до 96 градусов Цельсия. Далее по ходу тестирования температура процессора стабилизировалась на 80-82 градусах Цельсия при частоте 3,4 ГГц. Наконец, режим Silent действительно оправдывает своё название, поскольку удерживает процессор в нагрузке (после стабилизации) в пределах 70 градусов Цельсия. Цена этому – лишь 2,8 ГГц тактовой частоты и, как следствие, более низкая производительность. Зато именно в этом режиме ноутбук работает тихо.

При работе ASUS ROG Strix G17 от аккумулятора процессор ноутбука ведёт себя совершенно иначе. При этом доступные режимы Performance и Silent демонстрируют практически одинаковые показатели мониторинга.

Частота процессора в обоих случаях составила 2,4 ГГц при температурах, не превышающих 60 градусов Цельсия. Показательно, что при работе от аккумулятора процессор ноутбука был ограничен 25 ваттами TDP, чем и объясняются скромные показатели температуры и частоты.

Что касается дискретной видеокарты NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, то её мы протестировали двадцатью последовательными циклами бенчмарка Fire Strike Extreme из пакета 3DMark.

Сначала посмотрим на работу графической подсистемы ноутбука при его подключении к электросети.

В режиме Turbo пиковое значение частоты графического ядра составило 1935 МГц с последующей стабилизацией на 1770 МГц при температуре 75 градусов Цельсия. Режим Performance вновь заставляет ноутбук балансировать между производительностью и уровнем шума, в итоге частота GPU в нагрузке стабилизировалась на 1650 МГц, а температура повысилась до 80 градусов Цельсия, зато уровень шума стал значительно ниже. Тихий режим привёл частоту графического ядра к уровню 1425 МГц, стабилизировав его температуру на 74 градусах Цельсия и сделал полностью комфортной работу за ноутбуком. Добавим, что во всех трёх режимах частота видеопамяти не опускалась ниже 11 ГГц.

Вряд ли для кого-то это будет открытием, но при работе ноутбука от аккумулятора даже такая производительная видеокарта, как NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, ведёт себя совершенно иначе, нежели от электросети.

В обоих режимах работы частота графического процессора колебалась у отметки 800 МГц, а частота видеопамяти снизилась до 10 ГГц. Всё это способствовало низким температурам, но, естественно, сказалось и на производительности в 3D. Как раз к оценке производительности ASUS ROG Strix G17 (G712LV) мы сейчас и перейдём.

Поскольку только что мы увидели, насколько сильно различается режим работы ноутбука при работе от адаптера питания и от аккумулятора, то далее предлагаем оценить его производительность именно в этих состояниях ASUS ROG Strix G17 при настройках Turbo и Performance. Ну а так как новая модель ноутбука ASUS позиционируется в качестве игровой, то особое внимание будет уделено тестированию в 3D-бенчмарках и играх, где использовались максимальные настройки качества. Итак, сначала посмотрим на результаты тестов процессора и оперативной памяти.

Результаты в 3D-бенчмарках и играх мы приведём в таблице.

Если в тестах процессора и оперативной памяти разница в производительности ноутбука заметна, но не критична (так как она и от аккумулятора находится на довольно высоком уровне), то вот о видеокарте мы такого сказать не можем. При отключении адаптера питания производительность ASUS ROG Strix G17 снижается в два раза и более, и играть даже на столь мощной аппаратной конфигурации становится некомфортно. Впрочем, этот факт давно известен – все так называемые «игровые» ноутбуки являются игровыми только при подключении к адаптеру питания и электросети. Тем не менее именно в таком режиме работы ASUS ROG Strix G17 в своём родном разрешении 1920 × 1080 пикселей обеспечит очень высокий уровень производительности в самых современных играх, в том числе и при максимальных настройках качества графики.


Ёмкость литий-полимерного аккумулятора ASUS ROG Strix G17 составляет скромные для его габаритов и веса 66 Вт·ч.

За всё время тестирования ноутбука мы полностью заряжали его аккумулятор четыре раза, и усреднённый результат времени заряда с уровня 3 до 99% составил 1 час и 50 минут.

Автономность ноутбука была протестирована несколькими методами. Во всех случаях яркость дисплея выставлялась на уровне 200 кд/м2… Сначала мы прогнали три режима тестового пакета PCMark’10: Modern Office, Applications и Gaming. В первом из них, эмулирующем работу ноутбука в офисных задачах и видеоконференциях, аккумулятора хватило на шесть с половиной часов.

Если яркость дисплея снизить до 100 кд/м2, то к этому времени можно добавить ещё полчаса.

В режиме эмуляции работы с различного рода приложениями – Applications – ноутбук смог проработать 2 часа 47 минут. При этом его производительность находилась на высоком уровне.

А вот в режиме с говорящим названием Gaming аккумулятора хватило лишь на час с небольшим.

Такой же временной отрезок ASUS ROG Strix G17 продержался и в зацикленном бенчмарке стабильности 3DMark Time Spy Extreme в полноэкранном режиме работы. При просмотре видео формата Full HD с высоким битрейтом можно рассчитывать на семь с небольшим часов автономной работы, но нужно оговориться, что при этом мы использовали энергоэффективный режим настроек питания, поскольку больше производительности для просмотра видеофильмов от ноутбука и не требуется. В целом автономность нового ROG Strix G17 находится на нетипично высоком для игровых моделей уровне, даже несмотря на скромную ёмкость аккумулятора и весьма производительные компоненты.


Компания ASUS и прежде выпускала очень производительные игровые ноутбуки, но с серией ROG Strix G они стали ещё привлекательнее как в техническом, так и в визуальном плане. Нам сложно оценить всю G-серию, однако с уверенностью можем резюмировать, что в модификации G712LV ноутбук представляет собой заряженную геймерскую машину, которая, с одной стороны, обеспечивает высокий уровень производительности при питании от электросети, а с другой — подходит и для продолжительной повседневной работы от аккумулятора.

Если говорить об эксплуатации ASUS ROG Strix G17 в стационарном состоянии, то его шестиядерного и двенадцатипоточного процессора вкупе с NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 и парой SSD в режиме RAID 0 хватит для абсолютно любых игр. Важно, что при этом не придётся жертвовать настройками качества, а скорость и безупречную плавность вывода изображения обеспечит качественный 240-герцевый дисплей с отменной цветопередачей и достаточным запасом яркости. Добавим сюда же исчерпывающий набор портов, удобную клавиатуру с выделенными зонами и цифровым блоком клавиш, а также чистый звук с впечатляющим запасом громкости.

Из недостатков ASUS ROG Strix G17 мы можем отметить отсутствие картридера и вебкамеры. И если первый недостаток нельзя назвать критичным, то вот видеокамера для киберспортсменов и стримеров является насущной необходимостью, и её отсутствие в таком ноутбуке неоправданно. Что касается габаритов, веса и уровня шума, то эти особенности ноутбука относить к недостаткам было бы несправедливо, так как с игровыми ноутбуками по-другому попросту не бывает. Здесь, как говорится, либо шашечки, либо ехать.

В сухом остатке ASUS ROG Strix G17 – стильная и удобная игровая модель с высоким уровнем производительности, качественным дисплеем и красивой подсветкой, способная удовлетворить самых взыскательных пользователей.

The picture received the working title “Challenge”. It will be directed by Klim Shipenko. Previously, he was noted for the creation of such films as the very successful “Kholop”, as well as “Salyut-7”. It is reported that the producers of the film will be, in particular, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin and General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst.

The state corporation explained that a flight to the International Space Station (ISS) is planned for the fall of 2021, provided for by the plot of the film. The main character of the film, as well as his stunt double, will go to the station on the Soyuz MS manned spacecraft. They, as indicated by the Russian space agency, will be determined by the results of an open competition.

The official title of the film and its release date are still unknown. At the moment, the parties are discussing the details of the future film – the script, the technical capabilities of filming and the cast. According to Roscosmos, this picture will contribute to the popularization of space activities in Russia and the glorification of the cosmonaut profession.

By the way, the Russian state corporation declares that this will be the first feature film ever shot in space. However, the Russian painting may be late in obtaining this title, as mentioned above.
