Galactic Fun In Star Wars Galaxy's Edge! | Building A Lightsaber, Millennium Falcon POV & Play App!

In today’s video we head to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the media preview of the land! We start out with a behind the scenes look into Rise of the Resistance the new ride opening in December in Galaxy’s Edge. We learn the story the ride follows as well as the different ride systems that the ride will incorporate. After that we take a look at the Disney Parks Play App where you can use your phone like a Data Pad to interact with different aspects of Black Spire Outpost on Batuu. We also headed into Savi’s Workshop to build a lightsaber with all custom parts and our very own Kyber Crystal! Then we had a chance to ride Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run with a special POV camera mounted by Disney as part of the media day. Then we ended out the video with the dedication ceremony with appearances by R2-D2, BB-8, Chewie, Rey, Hondo, and some Storm Troopers. Thank you for watching and we’ll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

  1. Hello!! I’m a Disneyland goer! Is the ride video given through photopass like seven dwarfs?? If so do you think they will implement that at Disneyland?

  2. These people expect me to limit myself to one type of Lightsaber hilt!? What kind of cruel joke is this!?!? I want a piece from each section! The Peace and Justice endcap with the Elemental Nature sleeve, etc, etc! I AM THE ULTIMATE JEDI!!! Maybe when I collapse on the ground in tears they'll take pity on me.

  3. Can think of a dozen charities I would rather give 200 dollars to. I might be fun but it will end up in a draw within 2 months never to be seen again for most people.

  4. I like how they make it feel personal like you are really a starwars character building your own battle weapon looks like fun! And Tim's was clean! Even raised it like simba in lion king

  5. I am not much of a Star Wars fan but everything in this land is really cool. I'm excited to visit next year and ride both the rides.

  6. There's so much missing from GE. They need more walk around characters like Hondo and droids. More seating, tables, and shade. Why can't it be like media day every day in GE? Also, the scrap metal build in Disneyland is a lot more magical. Not sure but I don't think there are hidden Mickeys in Disneyland either. All in all a great video. Now it's time to pay the price.

  7. I dont know why but everytime I watch video of the light saber building when Yoda speaks then the lightsabers all activate, I cry. Such a cool experience to watch, great video!

  8. It will be difficult to top the amazing transporter effect in the Star Trek Experience attraction that used to be in Las Vegas. If you ever went on that ride, you know what I’m talking about.

  9. Tim, do you think there is any chance that they will do an ap soft opening for the rise of the resistance? It opens 5 days after I leave ugh!

  10. Tim, you're pretty good with engineering. Can the light saber be fitted with an external power source.
I'd like one if I could wall mount it and have it used a accent light/night light in the living room.

  11. So awesome!! I’m can’t wait to go. The lightsaber show does look so cool! But I heard that you could buy each piece individually and build it on your own. Is that true?

  13. I love your videos!! Why would they spend all that money to build R2-D2 and not let him be in the parks? Even for special visits?

  14. I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, but I’d pay $200 for the light saber! That was AMAZING! And Tim’s “that was MY fault” was too funny!
