IGN has released an 11-minute gameplay footage of Outriders, the upcoming RPG co-op shooter from Square Enix and People Can Fly, which brought us Painkiller, Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment.
The video, which you can watch below, demonstrates optional hunting missions in which players fight for certain rewards with several opponents: strong monsters, accompanied by helpers, and ordinary weak creatures. Since this is an RPG, opponents have health bars, damage numbers fly out on hit, and it takes a long time to hit the enemy. The battles take place on sand ruins, green thickets and cityscapes.
The Outriders are set on the planet Enoch. The expedition team, while searching for a mysterious signal that could mean hope for the future of humanity, faced a powerful energy storm known as the Anomaly. As it turned out, he endows the inhabitants of Enoch and the colonists with superpowers. You have to create your character, choose one of four classes with unique skills and go on a journey across the planet.
Previously, the developers announced that Outriders will be a complete game at launch and will offer up to 60 hours of gameplay. In addition, People Can Fly has no plans to introduce PvP into the project.
Outriders is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X this year.
