Microsoft is about to launch this year’s xCloud game streaming service, which will ship with the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Manufacturers of gaming accessories are also preparing for this.
For example, 8BitDo, which specializes in producing alternative modern as well as modernized versions of retro controllers for various electronic devices, adapted the old joystick from NES to work with the Project xCloud service.
The compact Bluetooth gaming pad can work with all Android smartphones and tablets. In addition, he received a certificate stating that the functionality is fully compatible with the Xbox controller and can work with xCloud. According to the manufacturer, the battery built into the manipulator will last about 18 hours. A USB-C port is provided for recharging. The package also includes a special custom mount for smartphones.
According to 8BitDo, she worked closely with Microsoft to ensure that their new product is fully consistent with the capabilities of a regular Xbox controller. The joystick control buttons can be reassigned as you wish – special software included in the kit will help. There is support for multiple profiles, between which you can quickly switch.
A new product called SN30 Pro is priced at $ 45. The device can be ordered, for example, in the Amazon online store. However, its actual sales will begin no earlier than September 21. This is only the start date of sales of the controller itself. It does not reflect Microsoft’s plans for launching its xCloud for the Xbox Game Pass. Regarding this event, the Redmond giant will declare separately.
