On January 14, the announcement of the next generation flagship smartphones from Samsung is expected – the Galaxy S21 family devices. Resource Android Police revealed the key technical characteristics of all representatives of this series.
The family will include the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra models. All of them will come with the Android 11 operating system, complemented by the proprietary One UI 3.1 add-on.
Depending on the sales region, the new products will be equipped with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor or Samsung Exynos 2100 proprietary chip. All versions will receive Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless adapters, as well as a 5G modem for working in fifth generation mobile networks.
The youngest member of the family, the Galaxy S21, will be equipped with a 6.2-inch FHD + LTPS display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The triple camera will incorporate a 64-megapixel sensor and two units with 12 million pixels, including a wide-angle one. Power will be provided by a 4000 mAh battery.
The equipment of the Galaxy S21 + will include a screen with similar characteristics, but its size will be larger – 6.7 inches. The camera will remain unchanged, and the battery capacity will increase to 4800 mAh.
Finally, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will receive a 6.8-inch WQHD + LTPO display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The quad camera will combine a 108-megapixel main sensor, 10-megapixel modules with 3x and 10x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel wide-angle unit. Battery capacity – 5000 mAh.
Smartphone sales, according to the available information, will start on January 29th.
