MTS has released Russia’s first specialized kit for developers designing devices for the narrow-band Internet of Things (NB-IoT). The NB-IoT Development Kit is already available for order at a price of 14,200 rubles.
The kit allows you to develop all kinds of sensors that transmit small amounts of data and require high energy efficiency. This may be products for the segments of real estate, housing and communal services, security, smart cities and agriculture.
In addition, it is expected that the kit will be of interest to various educational institutions, startups and just electronics lovers who are experimenting with their own NB-IoT devices.
The NB-IoT Development Kit includes a main board with an STM32L152RE microcontroller, a radio module, a set of sensors and a (U) SIM chip, an expansion card with a GNSS module (GPS / GLONASS), an ST-Link programmer, a set of antennas and interface cables. Plus, the offer includes unlimited traffic for a year and a ready-made account in the MTS cloud IoT platform – the client does not need to pay separately for the connection or account.
It is noted that the Arduino-compatibility of the set makes it possible for beginners and professional developers to start working without delay. The kit comes with a demo firmware that implements the service menu.
