Acer introduced really many new products yesterday. Among them were new chromebooks: the premium Chromebook Spin 713 and the affordable Chromebook Spin 311. In addition, Acer did not fail to mention that in the first quarter of 2020 it became the largest supplier of chromebooks.
The flagship Chromebook Spin 713 is available in both the regular version and the corporate-oriented version of the Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713. The latter differs only in that it comes with the unlocked Chrome OS for Business (Chrome Enterprise) application suite. From the point of view of the characteristics of the device do not differ, so we will describe them together.
The new flagship Chromebook Acer is equipped with a 13.5-inch VertiView display with an aspect ratio of 3: 2 and a resolution of 2K (2256 × 1504 pixels). The screen supports touch input and can be opened up to 360 °. Acer also emphasizes that the screen and touchpad of the Chromebook Spin 713 are covered with a special antimicrobial glass from Corning, which is especially relevant in current realities.
The Chromebook Spin 713 is built on the 10th generation Intel Core processors, up to the Core i7, and is equipped with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSDs. The novelty boasts a sturdy metal case that is resistant to drops according to the requirements of the MIL-STD 810G standard. The battery life of the new items reaches 10 hours, and it weighs only 1.37 kg.
In addition, Acer released the Chromebook Spin 311, a convenient 11.6-inch touchscreen chromebook for students. This model is equipped with a Mediatek MT8183 ARM processor (four Cortex-A73 and Cortex-A53 cores, frequency up to 2 GHz and Mali-G72 graphics), which provides “sufficient performance to run multiple applications at once, browse the web or documents“.
Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713 corporate in Europe will cost from 899 euros, a regular version of the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 will cost at least 699 euros, and a student Acer Chromebook Spin 311 will cost only 299 euros.
