Acer presented in Russia updated 15.6-inch gaming laptops Predator Helios 300 and Triton 500, featuring stylish design, powerful components and the use of modern gaming technologies.
Both models feature a 15.6-inch Full-HD IPS screen with wide viewing angles, bordered by thin bezels and featuring 100% sRGB color space. The Helios 300 has a refresh rate of 240 Hz, while the Triton 500 has a refresh rate of 300 Hz. Together with a response time of within 3ms, this ensures smooth frame rates and no ghosting or blurring on the screen.
Both new products come with powerful processors up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7 and support high-performance NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards (up to RTX 2070 in Helios 300 and up to RTX 2080 Super in Triton 500) with ray tracing technology for highly realistic images. For fast loading of levels in games and “heavy” applications, notebooks are equipped with 16 GB of RAM, expandable up to 32 GB.
The Triton 500 model has a RAID array of two solid-state drives with a capacity of up to 2 TB, while the Helios 300 has a disk subsystem supplemented by hard drives.
Both models use efficient modern cooling systems. In the Helios 300, the cooling of the components is ensured by an integrated system with two fans, one of which is based on 4th generation AeroBlade 3D technology. The Triton 500 uses a Vortex Flow cooling system with an AeroBlade 3D fan, complemented by two more fans and five heat pipes. Both new products support Acer CoolBoost technology, which allows to increase the efficiency of the cooling system by increasing the fan speed during the “hottest” gaming moments.
High quality sound in laptops is provided by an audio system with powerful speakers and support for 3D sound technology DTS: X Ultra, which allows you to determine the direction of sound, such as footsteps or shots. Also, laptops support proprietary technology Acer TrueHarmony with the ability to select different profiles for different games and entertainment, and Acer Purified Voice for voice communication.
To minimize latency, the Helios 300 and Triton 500 are equipped with a Killer Ethernet E2600 network card and related software that allows traffic management and configuration. Specifications for the new laptops also include support for the Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard and a full range of ports for connecting external monitors, including HDMI, USB 3.2 and USB Type-C.
Gaming laptops Predator Helios 300 and Triton 500 are already on sale at a suggested retail price of 99,990 and 149,990 rubles, respectively.
