Age of Empires III remaster devs hinted at gamescom 2020

IN official microblogging The Age of Empires strategy series has a mysterious image over the weekend. Fans suggest that in this way the authors wanted to hint at the participation of Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition in gamescom 2020.

Recall that Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is an improved, both graphically and functionally, the 2005 edition of Age of Empires III.

The published image features eight unit and building icons from Age of Empires III: grenadier, archer, musketeer, house, settler, culverin, outpost and again the musketeer.

By adding the first letters of the English version of each word and replacing house to his hotkey (E) in Age of Empires III, users got gamescom… Probably, the reprint will be shown at this exhibition.

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition was formally announced in August 2017 at gamescom, so the appearance of the reissue at the German exhibition should not be surprising.

As a reminder, gamescom 2020 will be held in digital format from August 27 to 30. The event will kick off with the Opening Night Live Opening Ceremony, which will showcase (not announce) 38 games.

In addition to Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition, the second season of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and the first story addition to DOOM Eternal, The Ancient Gods, Part One, are expected to be shown at Opening Night Live.
