Internet sources have published unofficial information about the fourth-generation iPad Air tablet, which Apple is preparing for release.
The current iPad Air model (third generation) is endowed with a Retina display with True Tone technology measuring 10.5 inches diagonally. The resolution of this panel is 2224 × 1668 pixels.
Tablet iPad Air 4, according to the published data, will receive an 11-inch screen. Moreover, in terms of overall dimensions, the device will be comparable to its predecessor: this will be achieved by reducing the width of the frames around the display.
The novelty, it is claimed, will receive a symmetrical USB Type-C port, which will replace the traditional Lightning connector. The “heart” of the gadget will be the Apple A13 processor.
It is also reported that a new model of the iPad mini tablet is being prepared for release. This device has a Retina screen size supposedly increasing from the current 7.9 to 8.5 inches. The computing load will fall on the Apple A13 chip.
According to estimates by the International Data Corporation (IDC), the supply of tablets on the world market in the first quarter of this year amounted to 24.6 million units. This is 18.1% less compared to the first quarter of 2019, when deliveries amounted to 30.1 million units. Apple is a leader with a share of approximately 28.0%.
