Baldur’s Gate 3 early access was postponed again, but this time only for a week

Larian Studios on my microblog shared not the most pleasant news with those who are waiting for the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3 in early access: the entry of the ambitious role-playing game on sale again had to be postponed.

Recall that until recently the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 was expected on September 30 this year. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the premiere had to be postponed for a week – until October 6.

When assessing the readiness of Baldur’s Gate 3 for release, Larian Studios was guided by the principle “Minor bugs and flaws are acceptable, but the game should offer fun gameplay with a minimum number of crashes”

At the same time, Baldur’s Gate 3 is already “almost there”but unexpected delays and stability issues disrupted the studio’s plans. The delays have affected the speed of translations, and Larian Studios wants to be sure of the quality of confirmed localizations.

According to the developers, a week’s delay should be enough to fix the bugs. However, Baldur’s Gate 3 still needs to go through “World tester” – a kind of super gamer who “Flies through the game”, checking it for strength.

“The super gamer is busy with his work now and so far the results look good, but not perfect. We know that if he does not break the game, then you have even less chance of doing so. “, – reported to Larian Studios.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will go on sale for PC (Steam, GOG) and Google Stadia at the appointed time. Despite early access, the ambitious RPG will cost a full $ 60 right from the start.
