Blizzard is working on a project codenamed Fenway – possibly a game based on new intellectual property

IGN drew attention to the profile of Blizzard Entertainment employee Maxine Virtue on the social network LinkedIn. On her page, the girl mentioned that she was working on a project codenamed Fenway. However, she did not provide any additional information.

There was a line in Maxine Virtue’s profile: “Worked on a variety of content for Warcraft III: Reforged, StarCraft 2, StarCraft: Remastered / Cartooned Edition, Diablo III and Fenway in partnership with ten art studios and ten freelance artists for a total budget of $ 7.5 million.”… After the publication of IGN, the girl deleted the mention of the secret project in her LinkedIn profile, but the journalists managed to take a screenshot.

It is currently unknown what is hiding under the name Fenway. According to IGN, it could be a game based on new intellectual property, or a remake of Diablo II, which is rumored to be in the hands of the former Vicarious Visions, who joined Blizzard. Another option: the codename denotes a Netflix animated series on Diablo, which has also not yet been officially announced. Fenway may be featured at BlizzConline 2021, which will run from February 19th to 20th digitally.
