A month ago, enthusiasts from the Russian team HECU Collective announced a remake of Half-Life: Blue Shift called Black Mesa: Blue Shift. They decided to release the project in chapters, and the first of them is almost ready. It will be released tomorrow, March 16th, on the Steam Workshop.
HECU Collective published the corresponding announcement in its official group on the VKontakte social network. To try out the improved first chapter, users need to have a purchased copy of Half-Life: Blue Shift. The release date of the full version is still unknown. Separately, it should be noted that the project is based on Black Mesa, an independent remake of Half-Life from the Crowbar Collective.
Recall that Half-Life: Blue Shift tells the story of Barney Calhoun, an ordinary security guard who was at the epicenter of the incident at the Black Mesa research complex. The gameplay in the game takes an example from the license plates: users explore locations, look for a way to get to the desired goal and fight opponents using an extensive arsenal of weapons. The original Half-Life: Blue Shift was created by Gearbox Software in partnership with Valve.
