Activision Blizzard, Treyarch and Raven Software have released trailers and first screenshots of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – Zombies co-op mode. Its action will unfold in a bunker from the Second World War. Matches are designed for four players.
For the first time, Zombies will feature cross-platform multiplayer on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Treyarch shooters have zombie mode about as popular as multiplayer battles and single player campaigns. In a cooperative game, four people fight against hordes of zombies that attack in waves. If you live to see the end of the undead attacks, you can progress through the campaign.
The new campaign will be a nod to Nacht Der Untoten, the first Zombies map in 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War. In the story, you are part of an international CIA-backed Requiem response team led by Gregory Weaver. Your operatives are exploring an old bunker, destroyed not only by time, but also by the undead. The facility is huge and full of strange equipment, graffiti, and exotic weapons. Requiem searches here for forgotten secrets.
At the same time, the Omega group, led by the Soviet Union, entered the battle. She, too, takes an interest in the study and use of anomalies around the world. In the trailer, the group is not shown in action, so it is not clear if it is possible to play for its fighters.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on November 13.
