Carrefour is undergoing a global restructuring. He wants to increase sales and profits, and plans to invest € 2.8 billion in digital commerce by the end of the year to compete with Amazon.
The retailer plans to increase electronic food sales to 4.2 billion euros by 2022 from 1.3 billion euros in 2019 and 1.0 billion euros in 2018.
The new service will allow users to add products to the shopping list simply by pronouncing common words such as butter, milk, product name or brand.
The assistant converts the list into a basket of products available on Carrefour.fr.
Items added to the shopping cart using the Google Assistant will reflect user preferences, giving them the ability to delete, modify, or add line items.
