Publisher 2K and development studio Gearbox Software have announced the release date of Director’s Cut, a new addition to the shooter Borderlands 3, on the official website of the Borderlands series.
As a reminder, the Director’s Cut addon was announced in the fall of 2020 as one of two parts of the second season pass. The first piece of the set – a DLC called Designer’s Cut – became available back in November.
As announced, the launch of Director’s Cut will take place on March 18 of this year on all target platforms of Borderlands 3. The DLC will be available for purchase both separately and as part of the mentioned pass.
The main innovation of Director’s Cut will be a new raid boss – the varkid Hemovorous the Invincible. The enemy is hiding behind a door on Pandora that has been closed since the release of Borderlands 3.
In addition to this, Director’s Cut will offer several side quests in which the heroes will have to investigate a series of mysterious murders. The developers promise new locations and special detective mechanics.
In addition, the Director’s Cut gives access to three Vault cards (the first will be released with the DLC), with which you can unlock new personalization and equipment, as well as a set of behind-the-scenes materials.
Borderlands 3 is available on PC (Epic Games Store, Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Google Stadia. Owners of the game on the previous generation consoles can upgrade to versions for new consoles for free.
