Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that the Cybertruck electric pickup can be used as a power source for a camper (mobile home). The statement was made in response to question one of the Twitter users inquired about whether such a feature will be implemented in a Tesla pickup.
For the United States, the ability to use a vehicle as a power source is nothing new, as mobile homes are very popular in the country – not only for travel, but also as permanent housing. The ability to power home appliances from the Cybertruck will surely add to the popularity of the Tesla pickup truck.
Note that Tesla has previously published renders in which Cybertruck was depicted with a branded stylish trailer. Many users drew attention to the fact that it does not look like a regular camper, so the question of powering a home on wheels from an electric car remained open. Now, enthusiasts have to wait until Tesla starts delivering its pickup truck on pre-orders to personally test the possibilities of the car in action.
The first Cybertruck shipments are expected to begin later this year. The retail price of the Cybertruck pickup starts at $ 49,900, and the range, depending on the configuration, varies from 480 to 800 km.
