AMD has not yet officially confirmed its intentions to release hybrid desktop processors of the Ryzen 5000G (Cezanne) series, but engineering samples of these chips are already available on the eBay marketplace. A Hong Kong seller hugohk is offering the Ryzen 7 5700G for $ 499.
The processor uses the marking 100-000000263-30. An engineering sample of the Ryzen 7 5700G with the same model number appeared a month earlier. The chip is built on the Zen 3 architecture and belongs to the Cezanne family, which introduced the Ryzen 5000U and Ryzen 5000H series mobile processors last January. The Ryzen 7 5700G desktop uses 8 physical cores and 16 virtual threads, and the clock speed reaches 4.45 GHz.
Initially, the seller indicated that the APU contains integrated Radeon Vega graphics, but since there is no driver for it, he recommended using the processor only as part of a system with a discrete graphics accelerator. Later he added that the driver has appeared and he is ready to provide it to the buyer. In addition, he recommended using motherboards based on AMD X570 and B550 chipsets for the chip. Older sets of system logic X470 and B450 will not work with it – you need to wait for the BIOS update.
The seller posted screenshots of the CPU-Z program, which, apparently, we already saw in early January. According to the seller, the screenshots were provided by his buyers, which may indicate that all engineering samples of processors Ryzen 5000G distributed from a single source.
According to CPU-Z benchmark, the Ryzen 7 5700G engineering sample is 20% and 16% faster compared to the Ryzen 7 3700X based on the Zen 2 architecture.
