Activision Blizzard and Toys for Bob have unveiled Flashback levels in the upcoming action-platformer Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time during gamescom 2020: Opening Night Live. Players will be able to “to return” in the 90s.
This is a completely new kind of levels that will take players back to the era of the 90s, when Dr. Neo Cortex was testing on Crash and Coco. Flashback events unfold before the first Crash Bandicoot and will contain story content about the heroes. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time producer Lou Studdert described the levels as “Rooms with tricky puzzles”which can be very complex. To gain access to “flashbacks”, players need to collect cassettes with memories on normal levels and bring them to the end without dying.
The Flashback levels are just a few of the over a hundred levels that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time contains. This is a new game in the series for over 10 years. In it, you, as Crash and Coco, have to team up with Dr. Neo Cortex and new characters to bring order to the multiverse.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will go on sale October 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No other platforms have been announced.
