Gaming PC market will grow by at least 30% this year

The phenomenon of a sharp demand for peripheral devices necessary for organizing video conferencing has been noted by Logitech more than once. Rival Corsair also admits that it has doubled shipments in the gaming business, and the gaming PC market could grow 30-35% by the end of the year.

The need for self-isolation, as has been noted more than once, has increased the demand for only laptops for remote work and study, but also for gaming computers. HP and Dell’s recent quarterly reports show that desktop demand from the corporate sector has plummeted, but home gaming configurations are in growing demand, especially in the run-up to new games and next-gen game consoles, which are always giving the segment a lot of excitement.

The sales season this year, according to representatives of Corsair, will be characterized by a noticeable excess of demand compared to the ability of manufacturers to meet it. If, under normal conditions, the market for gaming PCs with a price of $ 1,500 or more could grow by 10% this year, in fact the increase in sales volumes may reach 30-35%.

Corsair does not even plan to offer significant discounts on its gaming products this quarter, as this prompts some customers to stock up on components in order to resell them at higher prices. Gaming peripherals and streaming equipment are in high demand this year, making it hard to find them on sale.
