Ghostrunner surpassed creators’ expectations – by the end of 2020, sales of the game exceeded 500 thousand copies

President of All In! Games Piotr Zygadło in an interview with the Polish edition of Puls Biznesu spoke about the financial success of the cyberpunk slasher Ghostrunner from One More Level, 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks.

According to Zhigadlo, by the end of 2020 (that is, two months from the initial release), Ghostrunner sales, taking into account all factors, including returns, exceeded 500 thousand copies.

Zhigadlo said that this figure is approximate: it was the sum of several values, including the number of activated keys and data from another publisher of Ghostrunner – 505 Games.

Zhigadlo separately made a reservation that Cyberpunk 2077 did not harm Ghostrunner's sales

Nevertheless, the achieved result exceeded All In’s expectations! Games and One More Level – at the very beginning of the cooperation, the partners hoped to sell at least 400 thousand copies of Ghostrunner.

“Half a million copies sold across all stores and platforms is the result that pleases us and proves the correctness of the chosen strategy”, – Zhigadlo is sure.

The developers are not going to rest on their laurels – they are planning 12-month support, patches, a large addition and a version for next-generation consoles, which should appear this year.

Ghostrunner was released in October 2020 on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One, and reached the Nintendo Switch in November. In December, the game received a hardcore mode and the first paid addition – the Winter Pack.
