Gigabyte has updated its Aorus 5 and Aorus 7 gaming laptops with the latest Intel 10th-generation H-Series mobile processors (Comet Lake-H). The new items are called Aorus 5 vB and Aorus 7 vB, and they are still positioned as models of the middle price segment.
The Aorus 5 vB is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and thin bezels. The Aorus 7 vB model, in turn, can offer a 17.3-inch screen with similar characteristics. Actually, sizes and price are the only significant differences between the new products, because from the point of view of hardware, laptops are the same.
Regardless of the modification, Aorus 5 vB and Aorus 7 vB are equipped with a six-core Core i7-10750H processor, which has frequencies of 2.6-5.0 GHz. The graphics card can be based on the NVIDIA GTX 1650 Ti, GTX 1660 Ti or RTX 2060 graphics card. The new WindForce cooling system, which includes four copper heat pipes and is able to cope with more than 150 watts of heat, is responsible for heat dissipation in the new products.
The amount of RAM DDR4-2666 or DDR4-2933 is 8, 16 or 32 GB, and in total the system allows the installation of up to 64 GB of RAM. For data storage, Aorus 5 vB and Aorus 7 vB have a 2.5-inch drive and two solid-state drives in M.2 format. The volume of the data storage subsystem is not specified. We also note the presence of a notebook module Intel AX200 with support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
Gaming laptops Aorus 5 vB and Aorus 7 vB will soon begin to appear on sale. The cost of new products so far, unfortunately, is not specified, but it promises to be not too high.
