Gigabyte unveils factory overclocked Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming OC

Gigabyte has officially unveiled the flagship graphics accelerator Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming OC 16G, the images of which we saw at the beginning of this month. The video card has a three-slot design, a massive cooling system with three fans, and also received a non-standard set of video outputs from two DisplayPort 1.4a and two HDMI 2.1.

The dimensions of the Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming OC 16G are 286 × 118 mm. The company did not share details about the features of the new PCB, as well as more detailed information about its cooling system. But judging from the images, the latter consists of two blocks of aluminum heatsinks, at least six heat pipes, and a copper base for contact with the AMD Navi 21 XTX GPU.

For additional power, the card is equipped with three 8-pin connectors, which distinguishes it from such models as Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT NITRO + and ASUS ROG STRIX. The latter use a combination of two additional power connectors, like the reference version of the Radeon RX 6900 XT.

Among other things, the Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming OC 16G has a dual BIOS system. However, the manufacturer, unfortunately, did not specify the features of the profiles used. At the same time, Gigabyte noted that the maximum GPU frequency in Boost mode can reach 2285 MHz, and in gaming mode – 2050 MHz, which in both cases is 35 MHz higher than the reference values.

The recommended price for the reference version of the Radeon RX 6900 XT is $ 999. It is very likely that the price of the variant from Gigabyte will be higher, but the manufacturer has not yet said anything about this, as well as the timing of the start of sales.
