On the official website of ASUS, a countdown timer has been launched, indicating that the presentation of the ROG Phone 3 gaming-level smartphone will take place on July 22. The event will be held in Taipei, Milan and New York.

From various sources and databases of regulators, detailed technical characteristics of the new product are already known. The device will receive a 6.59-inch Full HD + display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, 108% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and a contrast ratio of 10,000: 1. Protection against damage will provide a durable glass Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

The basis will be the Snapdragon 865 Plus processor with a clock frequency of up to 3.09 GHz, equipped with an Adreno 650 graphics accelerator. We are talking about preparing versions with 8, 12 and 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5. The capacity of the UFS 3.0 flash drive is 128, 256 and 512 GB.

The multi-module rear camera will include a 64-megapixel sensor. The front camera will receive 13-megapixel images.

Among other things, 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters, a GPS / GLONASS / Beidou / Galileo receiver, a USB Type-C port, an NFC controller, a fingerprint scanner and front-facing stereo speakers are mentioned.

Dimensions of the device – 171 × 78 × 9.85 mm, weight – 240 g. Power will be provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh with support for fast 30-watt recharging of HyperCharge. The operating system is Android 10 with the ROG UI add-in.
