⇡ # What’s new in Russia and in the world?

In the last issue, we discussed the news that Tesla has become the most expensive automaker in the world. Last week, the company’s shares rose 5%, and Tesla’s total capitalization amounted to $ 206.5 billion. And last week it became known that such growth made many of its employees millionaires.

The fact is that Tesla itself positions itself as a technology company, therefore, it uses a similar approach to all tech giants to motivate employees, namely, it offers stock options and grants as part of its compensation packages. Typically, payments in the form of stock options are offered not only to management, as is often the case, but generally to all employees, including production partners and sales staff. What is characteristic, only top managers should disclose their assets in the company. So, according to the latest reports, Drew Baglino, senior vice president of energy at Tesla, owns 4,222 shares of the company. His stake in Tesla currently stands at over $ 5.7 million. Jerome Guillen, president of the manufacturing department, has 9,752 shares worth more than $ 13 million. Zachary Kirkhorn, CFO of Tesla, currently owns 11 831 shares of Tesla worth about $ 16 million. But, of course, Ilon Musk stands out most strongly against this background with his 34,098,597 shares, that is, from about $ 46 billion. So even if the Tesla board of directors listens to the consultants and dismisses Mask, his personal it doesn’t do much harm to well-being.

Well, since we started with a financial topic and started talking about money, here you can add two more news from last week. One of them is a little sad, but instructive: a teenager from India spent 22 thousand dollars of parental money in PUBG Mobile. And we would hardly begin to pay attention to such news, if not for some details. It turned out that the teenager took the phones of his father and mother on the pretext of online studies, gained access to their bank accounts, and deleted all transaction messages. Money was methodically spent on purchases in the game — items, a combat pass, and more. And for additional conspiracy, the guy regularly sent finances between three accounts – his own, father and mother. As a result, he spent all the money that the family set aside for his education, as well as for the treatment of his father. Neither the police nor the bank employees were able to help upset parents.

In general, now the teenager will work out spent, working in the repair shop. Well, for everyone else, this will be another reminder that the children are much smarter than you and me, and if the child uses the parents’ phones, it would be nice to make sure that he does not know the password for banking applications and other payment services.

In the comments on this news, some readers were perplexed, they say, how you can spend $ 22 thousand in a mobile game. And others advised them to look at the prices of weapon skins in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. So these prices are about to break another record. A player from China with a pseudonym from hieroglyphs purchased a skin for a weapon for about $ 100 thousand. We are talking about an upgraded version of StatTrak M4A4 Howl, in the usual variation it costs about $ 5 thousand. And the one that the Chinese player bought differs from the standard one with four iBUYPOWER Katowice 2014 stickers, which have become very rare in CS: GO and repeatedly increase the price of skins. Among other things, the price is affected by the depreciation coefficient (I can imagine how surprised those who have not played games for a long time, but yes, a virtual item can have wear), in the case of the mentioned StatTrak M4A4 Howl, this ratio is 0.003, that is, the item is in excellent condition. This gives its owner a theoretical opportunity to sell at a higher cost – he expects to gain about $ 130 thousand from the sale, and now this will be a new record for the value of an in-game item in CS: GO.

I never cease to be amazed at how seamlessly the events of the past week intersect with the events of the year before. In the last issue, we talked about how social justice activists criticized the project Cyberpunk 2077 and its developer, the Polish studio CD Projekt RED. Let me remind you that in the game the gender of the main character is not determined at all at the time of its creation, and NPCs choose the appeal he / she based on the tonality of the voice. The holder of a high voice will be defined as a woman, low – as a man. This is precisely what served as the reason for the criticism, saying that non-binary people prefer the appeal “it” or “they”, but this is not in the game. The developer did not react in any way, and this behavior was supported in the comments. Now it’s Blizzard’s turn, but no – no one was offended by her actions, at least not yet. But something tells me that in our latitudes the news about the appearance of the transgender story character in the addition of Shadowlands to World of Warcraft will not receive positive comments. The prehistory of the character sounds especially piquant: after coming to the Dark Lands, a character named Pelagos chose a physical form that would best reflect his essence. That is, the developers seem to hint that the character always felt like a man in the body of a woman.

And I really would not see any connection with the history of Cyberpunk 2077 if the Blizzard Community Relations Manager with the nickname Kaivax did not say this: “Initially, the team registered the character so that they were addressed using the pronouns“ they ”and“ them”. However, then there were reviews that the pronouns “he” and “him” would show a more respectful attitude to the desires of Pelagos to identify himself as a man. This change shows the work of the studio with feedback – we listen and respond. ” I wonder if the developers will listen to people who ask them to remove this character or details about his gender from the game? The question is rhetorical. But if you suddenly rejoiced and excitedly excited, then I remind you: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be released on PC in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Well, for those who continue to wait for the Cyberpunk 2077, there are two good news. One of them reveals incredible attention to detail in the game, though it does contain some spoilers, so follow the link carefully. The second piece of news looks ridiculous: some customers took the Cyberpunk 2077-style Xbox One X controller design elements for signs of use. And the thing is that in April Microsoft and CD Projekt RED presented a special version of the Xbox One X in the style of Cyberpunk 2077. Outwardly, it looked like it came from the future and was in use for a long time, the controller was similarly designed. But it turned out that it was a surprise for buyers when the controller went on sale, the first buyers began to complain that it looked like a second-hand one, although it was like new. However, here, unlike the story with the Indian boy, everyone can get their money back.

Finally, we turn to new events in the world of iron. Another good news for those who are worried about the future of AMD: Ryzen 5 3600 became the best-selling processor in Russia, thanks to the June price reduction.

According to Yandex.Market, in the segment of processors AMD Ryzen 5 3600 takes the first place, having displaced its predecessor from it. The recent decline in the price of this model only increased its margin from other processors in the top ten. However, the overall alignment of forces has not changed much – the ratio of preferences of customers since January has fluctuated in the proportion of 60: 40 in favor of AMD. But compared with May, the share of Intel products increased from 38.9 to 39.5%.

If we talk about all the sales leaders among processors, then the five include four AMD processors, and Intel Core i5-9400F closes it with a share of 3.94%. The sales leader, Ryzen 5 3600, increased its share from 12.46 to 15.46%, all thanks to a decrease in the average price from 13,236 rubles in May to 12,591 rubles in June.

Well, since we are talking about processors, it is important to highlight at least one news from Apple. Or rather, from the TrendForce analytical agency, which claims that the mass production of the 5nm A14 Bionic processor for iPhone 12 has already started, and in the very near future the printing of the A14X Bionic chip, which will be used on iPad Pro tablets next year, will also start. This once again convinces us that if the coronavirus pandemic will affect Apple’s plans to release new products, then not at all.

In the absence of other news, analysts began to consider how much Apple would cost to produce their own ARM processors. And it turned out that the company will be able to significantly save. According to an approximate estimate, the cost of producing one processor at TSMC’s capacities in the 5-nm process technology will be $ 100. For comparison: Intel Core i3 processors cost Apple $ 200-300. Analysts at Trefis have slightly different estimates, but she believes that refusing to use Intel processors will provide Apple with annual savings of about $ 2.2 billion.

Those who continue to follow the rumors around the PlayStation 5 have a new reason for discussion. On Friday, a “live” photo of the DualSense gamepad for the PlayStation 5 was published. You see it in the picture above and it seems to be too big – in the style of the console itself. But is it so bad after all?

⇡ # What’s new in 3DNews reviews?

First of all, two fresh reviews of the games, each of which was rated by our authors at 7 points out of 10 possible. The first is the entertaining West of Dead action, the second is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. But before you get distracted by these two reviews, keep the third one, in it we are talking about the Acer Predator XB273GX gaming monitor with a frequency of 240 Hz.

In addition, we had a review of the MSI MEG Z490 Godlike motherboard, which received the “editorial choice” award, as well as testing AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT and Ryzen 7 3800XT processors, a review of the affordable Acer Aspire 7 A715-75G gaming laptop, and the second part of a large historical test video cards.

Well, as an optional reading, I recommend you to review 10 programs for taking notes, which included my personal favorite called Simplenote, in which I make blanks for all articles and reviews. And finally, as usual, there are five past issues of weekly digests:
