Google Pixel 4a will not be able to boast of 5G support

According to leaks, Google Pixel 4a may be presented as early as July 13th. A lot is already known about the smartphone. The smartphone has already appeared in the databases of IMDA and BIS regulators, which indicates its imminent entry into the market. New details were revealed. The device, most likely, will not be able to work in fifth-generation cellular networks.

In the Google Camera application version 7.3, information was found about the chipset that will be installed in the new budget smartphone, bearing the internal name “Sunfish”. They will serve the long-known Snapdragon 730, which is deprived of 5G support. Two more models of smartphones, the mention of which are found in the camera application code, are called “Redfin” and “Bramble”. They will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chip. We are probably talking about devices of the Pixel 5 family, in which, as previously reported, Google will abandon the use of flagship chipsets.

Information about the lack of support for fifth-generation networks in Pixel 4a is also confirmed by IMDA certification data, the database of which indicates that the smartphone can only work in 3G and 4G networks.

It is expected that the Pixel 4a processor will work in conjunction with 6 or 8 GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 730 is not distinguished by advanced technical characteristics and a high price, because there is reason to believe that the cost of the new budget Google smartphone will not exceed $ 300.
