The Chinese telecom giant Huawei and subsidiary Honor intend to enter the gaming laptop market a few weeks ago. Today, the resource NotebookCheck has published new information about the project.
It is known that the Honor laptop for gamers will be part of the Hunter family, which currently presents an advanced router for gaming systems. As you can see in the sketch below (click to enlarge), the exterior elements of the laptop will be borrowed from sports cars. These are, in particular, the cooling grilles with an aggressive design and the top cover, reminiscent of the hood of a supercar.
As for the electronic “filling” of Honor Hunter, not too much is known about it yet. According to reports, the processing load will fall on the AMD Ryzen 4000H processor. The graphics subsystem will include a discrete NVIDIA accelerator located above the GeForce RTX 2060 video card.
It is noted that the novelty has already been seen on the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) certification website. And this means that the official presentation will take place in the near future: apparently, the Honor Hunter gaming laptop will cease in August.
According to IDC forecasts, the gaming computer market in the EMEA region (Europe, including Russia, the Middle East and Africa) will demonstrate a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.1% until 2024. As a result, in 2024, deliveries will reach almost 8.1 million units. Two thirds of this volume (66.7%) will be gaming laptops.
