Huawei launches Watch Fit Elegant smartwatch with continuous blood oxygen monitoring

Huawei has released a new version of the affordable Huawei Watch Fit, dubbed the Huawei Watch Fit Elegant. The novelty differs from the original mainly in appearance. The device is enclosed in a stainless steel case, and its strap is made of fluoroelastomer. The same material is used to make sports bands for the Apple Watch.

The new model is available in two colors: Frosty White with a gold-tone case and Midnight Black with a dark steel case.

Apart from the design changes, the Watch Fit Elegant is almost identical to the original, except for the addition of continuous monitoring of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). The original Watch Fit measures SpO2 at regular intervals throughout the day, while the Watch Fit Elegant provides data continuously in the Huawei Health app for better analytics. The user will also receive a warning if the SpO2 level is too low.

The Watch Fit Elegant has the same versatile fitness and activity tracking features as the original smartwatch. They will track virtually any activity – from traditional walking, running, cycling to non-traditional forms of exercise such as dance, martial arts and dart throwing. Plus, you can monitor your heart rate in real time during your workout to keep you motivated to reach your target milestones. All heart rate, sleep and physical activity data can be accessed through the Huawei Health app.

The Watch Fit Elegant also has an interactive animated workout with step-by-step instructions like the original. In addition, there are 13 built-in running courses for runners of all skill levels. As you run, the Watch Fit Elegant provides instructions, steps and route using built-in GPS.

However, the new model still lacks support for NFC or third-party applications. The battery life of the novelty is also up to 10 days.

The release dates and price of the Watch Fit Elegant vary by region. It is known that the UK smartwatch will go on sale on March 23 in the Huawei online store at a price of 109.99 pounds sterling (11.3 thousand rubles).
