Not so long ago, Huawei CEO Yu Chengdong announced that the flagship smartphones of the Mate 40 series will be launched in early October. Later, reputable insider Evan Blass suggested that due to US sanctions, the devices could go on sale much later, especially outside of China. However, Huawei has begun advertising the Mate 40 on UK social media, which indirectly refutes rumors of its delay.
Today the official Twitter account posted a post that reads “#HuaweiMate next generation coming soon. Stay tuned!“. This is the first time a Chinese company has officially talked about the upcoming flagship on social media. While no official launch date has been announced for the smartphone, it will most likely be released soon. It is assumed that there is no more than a month left before the announcement of the Mate 40.
According to reports, Huawei Mate 40 will be based on the Kirin 9000 processor. This chip is produced according to the 5nm process technology and is based on the Cortex-A77 or A78 architecture. It is the world’s first 5nm chipset with an integrated 5G modem. It is assumed that the Mate 40 series will include at least three devices. In addition to the base model, the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro + are expected.
