Rabbit & Bear Studios today launched a Kickstarter campaign for Japanese RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes from the creators of the Suikoden series, Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kawano. And in less than two hours, the team raised the requested $ 509,713. Perhaps the game would have achieved that goal even earlier, but soon after the campaign began, the Kickstarter site crashed.
There are still 31 days of campaign ahead. The developers presented a plan for what the additional money will be spent on. If Rabbit & Bear Studios can raise $ 750 thousand, then Fortress Mode will appear in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and when it reaches $ 1 million, the project will be released on consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. At the time of writing, the developers have already donated over $ 730 thousand.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is coming to PC in 2022. The game takes place in Allraan, a world of peoples with different cultures and values, where ordinary people, beasts, elves and desert people live. They fought among themselves for magical items known as rune lenses.
The plot of the game tells how the Galdean Empire ousted other nations and discovered technology that enhances the magic of runic lenses. She is now searching the continent for an artifact that will further expand her power. On one such expedition, a young and gifted Imperial officer, Kesling, and a boy from a secluded village named Nova meet and become friends. However, a twist of fate will draw them into the flames of war and force them to reconsider their views on what they believed to be true.
