IDC: Russian printing device market grew 7.7%


According to IDC research, in 2019, shipments of manufacturers to the Russian market for printing devices decreased by 1% compared to 2018 to 2.56 million
pieces, and in monetary terms – increased 7.7% to $ 696 million.

The total sales of laser technology accounted for about 1.75 million devices, including nearly 1.15 million MFPs; the number of jet devices sold was just over
805 thousand pieces, most of which are also MFPs – delivered over 668 thousand pieces.

In the fourth quarter of 2019, the Russian market for printing devices grew by 3.9% in artificial terms and by 16.5% in monetary terms compared to the same period last year. by
that period, about 831,000 copies and MFIs were delivered to the Russian market, with a total value of about $ 227 million. The average price of the device has increased
by 12% compared to the fourth quarter of 2018

The market for laser technology in the fourth quarter of 2019 grew by 4.4% in artificial terms and by 17.7% in monetary terms, compared to the same period last year.

In the segment of monochrome devices, deliveries in pieces of the speed category up to 20 ppm decreased by 14.4%, 21-30 ppm – increased by 30.3%, all other categories showed an increase.

In the color technology segment, deliveries of speed categories of 1-10 ppm decreased by 7.6%, 11-20 ppm – by 0.2%, while the higher categories showed double-digit growth.

The streaming technology market in the fourth quarter of 2019 showed an increase in both the artificial – by 3.5% and in monetary terms – by 13.6%, compared to the same period last year. abbreviation
