Before the announcement of the new Intel 500-series system logic sets, there was information that motherboards based on them would appear on the market earlier than the Rocket Lake-S processors for which they are intended. The American online trading platform Newegg has formally confirmed this information. According to the retailer, the new items will go on sale in the coming days.
The site has opened pre-orders for seven models of motherboards from ASRock and ASUS based on the senior Z590 chipset. They are: ASRock Z590 Steel Legend WiFi 6E, ASRock Z590 Steel Legend, ASUS ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming WIFI, ASUS ROG Strix Z590-A Gaming WIFI, ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS WIFI, ASUS Prime Z590-A and ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero.
Prices for the available range range from $ 195 for the ASRock Z590 Steel Legend model to $ 500. In the latter case, the ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero model is estimated at the same amount. Of course, in the future, the market is expected to see a much wider variety of motherboards with new sets of Intel 500 series logic systems from a variety of manufacturers, including MSI, Gigabyte, EVGA, Biostar and others. Moreover, in some cases, prices for older models will reach 1,500 euros.
The Neweeg store indicates that some of the above-mentioned motherboards will be on sale on January 22, and others from January 25. According to the latest data, the release of new Rocket Lake-S processors will have to wait at least until March. The main feature of the new platform will be full support for the PCIe 4.0 interface.
