It is noted that the cost of deploying Wi-Fi in villages, villages and other small settlements can be reduced by 20.6 billion rubles in the period until 2024. If this proposal is approved, the development of Internet access in the Russian regions will significantly slow down.

In addition, it is proposed to reduce the budget of the project to provide communications for federal highways by 3.7 billion rubles. 2 billion rubles less than planned could be spent on the conversion of radio frequencies.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to work out issues related to the inclusion in the building codes and conditions of conditions on the mandatory equipping of apartment buildings under construction, under reconstruction or undergoing major repairs with modern means of broadband Internet access. At the same time, non-discriminatory access for telecom operators to the infrastructure of such houses should be ensured.
