Laptops and watches will expand the Huawei ecosystem

Honor brand new products are presented in Moscow – MagicBook 14 and MagicBook Pro laptops, as well as MagicWatch 2 smartwatches.

In the next few years, Huawei plans to make significant efforts to build a comprehensive ecosystem based on the HiLink hardware platform and a suite of HiAI smart interfaces,
bringing together popular types of connected devices and mobile services.

The strategy for building this ecosystem, announced at the 2019 World Mobile Phone Congress in Shanghai, has been dubbed “1 + 8 + N”.

Central to it is given to smartphones that perform the functions of a hub to access all other assistive gadgets and services. In fact, the eight symbolizes such smart ones
devices: watches, headphones, televisions, speakers, smart glasses, car multimedia centers, PCs and tablets.

And under the mysterious letter “N” are hidden smart homes, mobile offices, gadgets for sports and health control, audio-visual entertainment and intellectual products for tourists.

Last year, the brand Honor MagicBook first appeared in the brand portfolio. It has now been expanded by two new MagicBook 14 and MagicBook Pro models, equipped with anti-glare 14 and 16.1 screens
inches with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a 16: 9 aspect ratio.

They are presented in durable aluminum alloy cases: the MagicBook 14 weighs 1.38 kg at a thickness of 15.9 mm, and the MagicBook Pro -16.9 mm and 1.7 kg.

In addition to reducing the size of the notebooks have received a number of improvements, including improved cooling system, increased touchpad and more powerful processors. Yes, the MagicBook 14 uses an AMD chip
Ryzen 5 3500U, and in the MagicBook Pro – AMD Ryzen 5 3550H.

Talking about the new products, Tony Ram, President of Honor in Russia, Turkey and the CIS countries, noted that the laptop market has been stagnant for a long time and lacks any
bright solutions.

And while Honor is a newcomer in this segment, it has been decided within the “1 + 8 + N” strategy to give products under development and their corresponding functions. In particular, the MagicBook 14 and HONOR
MagicBook Pro realizes the possibility of multi-screen interaction between smartphones and PC (Multi-screen Collaboration).

These laptops support Magic-Link 2.0 instant messaging technology, which lets you stream your smartphone screen to a laptop in Multi-Screen mode, transfer files quickly, and
edit them.

This feature will be available on smartphones with EMUI 10 and Magic UI 3.0 interfaces.

The suggested retail price of the MagicBook 14 is 44,990 rubles for the 256GB version and 49,990 rubles for the 512GB version. The MagicBook Pro with 512GB of memory will be available for 59,990 rubles.
In this case, the manufacturer provides the opportunity to test new laptops for free within 30 days.

Simultaneously with the laptops were announced smartwatch MagicWatch 2, made in two versions – with a dial diameter of 46 and 42 mm.

In the first embodiment, the watch is equipped with a touch AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.39 inches and a resolution of 454 × 454 pixels. They have a built-in microphone and speaker, 4GB of memory and a Bluetooth module. All
it allows you to synchronize your watch with your smartphone and make voice calls, as well as listen to the tracks from the internal memory using wireless headphones.

The 42mm smartwatch features a more elegant design and comes with a metallic Milanese bracelet.

Honor’s new smartwatches support 15 types of fitness training, including jogging, cycling, swimming and triathlon, both indoors and outdoors.

The watch also comes with a complete set of intelligent technologies such as 24-hour TruSeen 3.5 heart rate monitoring, TruSleep 2.0 sleep analysis, TruRelax stress monitoring and more.

The availability of some OS-dependent features is used in conjunction with the smartphone clock. Yes, some features are not supported on iOS devices.

The recommended retail price of Honor MagicWatch 2 is 12990 rubles.

A model with a diameter of 42 mm will appear later.
