Microsoft launched the foldable Surface Duo smartphone in the US a couple of months ago. The device is based on last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and boasts two separate internal screens. Plus, it’s Microsoft’s first Android smartphone. There was a lot of doubt as to whether the Surface Duo would bring the Surface Duo to the international market. Based on the latest data, this will happen soon.
Yesterday, information appeared on the Web that British mobile operators are negotiating with the Redmond Corporation about the supply of the device. Now the edition WindowsArea.de, referring to reliable sources, claims that the phone will be sold in Germany. According to reports, the device will hit the German market next spring. At the moment, Surface Duo is already certified for the US, Canadian and Japanese markets.
As a reminder, Microsoft was rumored to have postponed the global launch of the Surface Duo as it wanted to assess demand for the device in the US before starting full-scale shipments to other countries. Earlier leaks suggested the Surface Duo would not hit the global market until the second quarter of 2021.
