Motorola is preparing its first mid-range smartphone with 5G support

Motorola is going to replenish the series of its mid-budget smartphones Moto G with the first model with support for 5G wireless networks.

The author of numerous leaks, Evan Blass, also known as @Evleaks, shared render of the future device. In the image, you can note the presence of a smartphone with a four-module camera, where the main work is assigned to the 48-megapixel sensor. On the front side there are two holes for the front camera. Another outstanding feature of the novelty is a fingerprint sensor. It, according to the image, is located on the Moto G 5G on the left side, and not under the screen or under the logo on the back.

Unfortunately, the source does not report any other information about this smartphone. It is expected that the device will be very affordable, given the series of devices it will belong to. For example, the Moto G8 Plus smartphone introduced last year is priced at about $ 250 by the company. According to the resource AndroidAuthority, from the new Moto G 5G you can expect about the same cost.

It should be noted that the news about the future Moto G 5G smartphone appeared just a couple of weeks after Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 690 mobile chipset. It is the first among the six hundredth series of Snapdragon processors to offer support for fifth-generation (5G) wireless networks. Usually, the Moto G series devices use the Snapdragon 600 series processors, so we can safely assume that the new Moto G 5G will receive this particular processor.
