MSI has expanded its range of motherboards with the recently released AMD B550 system logic with a new model called the B550M Pro-Dash. The novelty has received rather simple equipment and is primarily intended for creating budget systems on Ryzen 3000 processors.
The MSI B550M Pro-Dash motherboard is made in the Micro-ATX form factor. To the right of the processor socket Socket AM4 there are four slots for DDR4 memory modules, in which you can install up to 128 GB of RAMmemory with a frequency of up to 4400 MHz (in overclocking). The expansion slot set includes one PCIe 4.0 x16 and two PCIe 3.0 x1.
For connecting storage devices, the B550M Pro-Dash has four SATA III ports and two M.2 slots for solid state drives, one of which supports PCIe 4.0 and 3.0, as well as SATA III, and the other only PCIe 3.0.
The gigabit controller Realtek RTL8111EPV is responsible for network connections on the new board. Sound processing is done by the 7.1-channel Realtek ALC892 codec. On the rear panel of the connectors there are VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs, as well as four USB 3.0 ports, a pair of USB 2.0, a universal PS / 2 for a mouse or keyboard, an RJ45 network port and three 3.5 mm audio jacks.
Unfortunately, the cost of the motherboard MSI B550M Pro-Dash has not yet been named, but it is unlikely to be high. The novelty should go on sale in the foreseeable future.
