Internet sources have revealed the release volume of Apple A14 processors, which will become the basis of the iPhone 12 smartphones, the first Apple devices that support work on fifth-generation mobile networks (5G).
The Apple A14 chip manufacturer was commissioned by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). For new products, the use of 5-nanometer technology is provided.
It is reported that this year TSMC on orders from Apple will release approximately 80 million A14 processors. In addition, TSMC will take over the production of a Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 cellular modem, which is allegedly also part of the iPhone 12.
In the new family of Apple smartphones, four models are expected to be announced: iPhone 12 (5.4 inches), iPhone 12 Max (6.1 inches), iPhone 12 Pro (6.1 inches) and iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches). The first two, according to rumors, will receive 4 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 128 or 256 GB. Models with the prefix Pro will carry on board 6 GB of RAM and a drive with a capacity of 128, 256 and 512 GB.
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max are credited with having a dual main camera. The equipment of smartphones iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max supposedly includes a triple camera, supplemented by lidar.
