Film company Netflix has published a plot description of the upcoming CGI series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. In addition, it became known who will voice the main roles in the film.
The CGI series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness was announced in fall 2020. According to Netflix, the Resident Evil 2 remake actors Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello will return to voice Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, respectively.
In addition, Netflix provided information about the plot of the upcoming tape. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will not repeat the history of any game in the Resident Evil series, but will tell about the outbreak of the virus in the White House.
As the story goes, in 2006, traces of illegal access to secret presidential files were found on the White House network. Federal agent Leon S. Kennedy is called in to investigate the incident, but there he is confronted by a horde of zombies.
Meanwhile, TerraSave employee Claire Redfield is in a country to help refugees; there, a mysterious drawing drawn by a boy falls into Claire’s hands. Concerned that it depicts a victim of a viral infection, the heroine begins her own investigation. Over time, these two outbreaks of zombies in countries distant from each other will lead to events, “That will shake the nation to the core”…
Also this summer, another Netflix adaptation of Resident Evil (already with live actors) will be released, which will talk about the children of Wesker. And the film company Constantin Film is preparing a relaunch of the franchise, which is slated to premiere this summer.
