The National Media Group (NMG) and the American company Netflix, as reported by the Vedomosti newspaper, have signed a cooperation agreement: the agreement provides for the development of a popular video service in Russia.
Recall that Netflix has been available to Russian users since 2015, but the main part of the show has not yet been dubbed into Russian. As part of the agreement, the partners will adapt the site for spectators from the Russian Federation.
In particular, by the end of this year, Netflix will receive a completely Russian-language interface. Many foreign TV series will be available with Russian subtitles and / or voice acting. Finally, in the coming months, about 100 domestic films will appear on the site.
It is noted that Netflix will be fully localized for Russia by the middle of next month. Three tariff plans will be available to subscribers: the basic one costing 599 rubles (now € 7.99), the standard one for 799 rubles (now € 9.99) and the premium one costing 999 rubles (currently € 11.99).
“NMG and Netflix are working on the full localization of the service. This transaction is part of the implementation of NMG’s strategy to achieve leadership positions in the digital and content segments in Russia“, – said the leadership of the National Media Group.
