Gearbox Software and Counterplay Games have unveiled additional information on the upcoming Godfall action movie for PS5 and PC as part of the PAX Digital x EGX Digital launch. During the demo, the developer shared a new 4K video showing the third-person combat cutscene, which gives us a better idea of what the gameplay of this project looks like.
In addition to battles and impressive graphics, the video also shows excerpts from cinematic scenes. There were three different versions of the game presented: Godfall Standard Edition priced at $ 59.99; Godfall Deluxe Edition including the base game and the first expansion pack for $ 79.99 and the Godfall Ascended Edition, which is complemented by Godfall Ascended digital cosmetics for $ 89.99.
By pre-ordering from the Epic Games Store, customers will also receive a starter set of cosmetics: Chrome Valorplate suits for Silvermane, Phoenix and Greyhawk, a yellow version of the Typhon Valorplate suit, and the Borderlands Zer0 sword as a crossover.
Godfall takes place in a universe of brave knights, mysterious witchcraft and forbidden lands. The world is divided into four kingdoms of different elements: earth, water, air and fire. The project does not support microtransactions and is not positioned as a service game. The main character will be the god-like knight Valorian, able to dress in the legendary armor that makes the owner an invincible martial artist. On the way, the player will find armor that was considered irretrievably lost – each will offer unique characteristics and their own history.
Pre-orders are already available on the Epic Games Store. Nothing is known about the start of those on PS5 yet, but it is likely that we will find out the details already at the presentation of the PlayStation 5 Showcase, which will take place on September 16. Godfall will launch on PS5 and PC in 2020.
