new trailer for underwater shooter Aquanox Deep Descent dedicated to weapons

THQ Nordic and Digital Arrow have released a trailer for the underwater shooter Aquanox Deep Descent dedicated to weapons, as well as revealed the system requirements for the game. The new installment of the iconic series – the first since 2003 – will hit PC next week, October 16.

The video shows torpedoes rushing through the depths of the sea, shells that destroy enemy armor, and energy cannons that finally finish off enemies. Each ship in Aquanox Deep Descent is equipped with different types of weapons – you need to select the most suitable one, taking into account the characteristics of the opponents. According to the developers, in the new part they tried to combine the dynamic action of the AquaNox series with the tactical battles of its predecessor, Archimedean Dynasty 1996.

System requirements have also appeared on the game page on Steam.

The Serbian studio Digital Arrow is working on Aquanox Deep Descent, whose employees participated in the creation of MotoGP, Spellforce, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, Killzone, Aliens vs Predator and Ori and the Blind Forest. In 2015, just over a year after the announcement, the project was funded on Kickstarter. More than two thousand users donated almost $ 96 thousand – $ 20 thousand more than the authors requested. Such a modest goal was set because at that time the publisher had already been found (Nordic Games, which later changed its name to THQ Nordic) and the developers had only to convince him of the audience’s interest.

After 17 years, players will return to Aqua – a dystopian world in the depths of the ocean, where the remnants of humanity moved after the Earth’s surface became uninhabitable. Colonies housed in former mining and research stations are fighting for resources and power. The user will control a team of attack pilots, which will cross all oceans and descend into the deepest rifts. You will have to not only fight, but also extract resources, trade and modify vehicles.

The storyline campaign can be played either alone or with three friends in cooperative mode with the ability to join the session at any time. Each user controls one of four unique pilots, who are destined for their own role in the story. Traditional multiplayer modes are also present, including Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch.

The new game is the fourth in the series after Archimedean Dynasty (1996), AquaNox (2001) and AquaNox 2: Revelation (2003). All previous parts were created by the German Massive Development, which ceased to exist in 2005. The closure of the studio thwarted plans to create another game – AquaNox: The Angel’s Tears, a remake of AquaNox 2: Revelation.

In the US, the price of the game will be $ 30, in the EU countries – € 30. For the Russian segment, the cost has not yet been announced. Full translation into Russian is declared.
