The Hong Kong company MINISFORUM has announced small form factor computers U820 and U850 on the Intel hardware platform: the delivery of these nettops is scheduled to begin in April.
The devices are enclosed in a case with dimensions of only 127 × 127 × 53.1 mm. Inside there is room for two 2.5-inch SATA 3.0 drives and an M.2 2280 solid-state module with PCle interface. In addition, there are two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots available.
The U820 is powered by the Coffee Lake generation Core i5-8259U chip, which contains four cores (eight threads) clocked at 2.3-3.8 GHz. The U850 variant carries a Core i5-10210U processor of the Comet Lake family with four cores (eight threads) with a frequency of 1.6-4.2 GHz.
The novelties have adapters for wireless communication Wi-Fi (2.4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1, as well as network controllers Gigabit Ethernet and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet. Available are USB 3.1 Gen1 and USB 3.1 Gen2, USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort and standard audio jack.
Pricing starts at $ 599 and comes with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
