One of the main features of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is the epilogue Future Connected added to the game. Nintendo felt that the new story chapter deserved its own laudable trailer.
As such, there are no evaluations of Future Connected in the 45-second video – the reviewers issued a verdict to the reissue of Xenoblade Chronicles in its entirety – but there are several enthusiastic quotes from journalists.
An employee of We Got This Covered, for example, named the epilogue “A godsend for franchise veterans”, and the Comic Book journalist – “A truly new experience for everyone”…
3DNews author Ivan Byshonkov was much more critical in his time. In his opinion, Future Connected “Trying in the most insolent way to increase the modest timing of his campaign, driving back and forth just for the sake of dialogue”…
Recall that Future Connected tells about the adventures of the protagonist Shulk and Princess Melia on the left shoulder of the frozen titan Bionis a year after the final battle from the main game.
The remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles itself was rated 89 points out of 100 by Western critics, which turned out to be slightly worse than the result of the original version of the game for Nintendo Wii (92 points).
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition was released on May 29th this year exclusively on Nintendo Switch. Since its release, the remaster has sold more than 1.32 million copies around the world.
