Oculus Quest virtual reality headsets get multi-account support

Oculus Quest virtual reality headsets will receive support for working with multiple accounts. The developers of the headset announced this in their official blog.

The new functionality of the Oculus Quest will allow multiple authorized users to use the device. At the same time, additional users will be able to access the digital content purchased by the main user of the device, but all achievements and saves will be individual and contained on their own accounts.

It is indicated that in this way it will be possible to connect up to three additional ones to the main account, and then share with them the purchased games and applications for virtual reality. Later, the company will implement universal access, allowing content to be shared between three headsets.

The company intends to implement support for the sharing mode in all applications for the Oculus Quest by February 12. However, software developers can do this before the appointed date if they wish. To authorize secondary accounts, the latter will need to register with the social network Facebook.

The company also added that the sharing feature for Quest 2 headsets will arrive next month. It will be launched in experimental mode. You can enable it through the settings menu. After the testing phase, the feature will appear on all Quest headsets, including the original model.
