OnePlus announced its first power bank about five years ago and the device hasn’t been updated since then. Earlier this year, Karl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, asked Twitter users if they wanted a power bank with fast charging, hinting at a product revival. Now, seven months later, the device has been certified in India.
The Bureau of Standards of India (BIS) has certified the new product, which, according to the registration page, is a power bank. From the registration data, you can also find out that OnePlus Power Bank is manufactured in China by OPPO. It is likely that the OnePlus Power Bank will turn out to be a renamed OPPO external battery with support for fast charging and a capacity of at least 10,000 mAh. It is assumed that the price of the device at the time of its launch will be about $ 20.
The new OnePlus external battery is expected to be unveiled by the company alongside the upcoming OnePlus 8T flagship smartphone. There is also speculation that along with them the Chinese company will show the smart watch OnePlus Watch, the imminent release of which was announced today by an insider hiding under the nickname MaxJ.
