OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has put an end to a series of speculations on the issue of smartwatches: the company is indeed creating such a gadget, and its official presentation will take place very soon.
Rumors of OnePlus smartwatch development date back to 2014. It was later reported that the gadget could receive the name OnePlus Watch. The device was credited with using one of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear processors, 1GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of at least 8GB.
It was claimed that the announcement of the watch will take place in 2020, but the year is already running out, and the new product has not been presented. And now Pete Lau has made an official announcement about the release of the product.
“Many of you say you want a watch, and as you may have heard over the weekend, we are developing one – it will be out early next year. Desires become reality“- said the head of OnePlus.
Unfortunately, Pete Lau did not go into details regarding the equipment of the gadget. According to unofficial data, the device will use the Wear OS operating system. Of course, the developer will take care of integrating the watch with their smartphones.
