We have already written that the upcoming co-op shooter Outriders will receive support for DLSS and other NVIDIA technologies. Now Square Enix and People Can Fly have released official system requirements, along with an informative trailer and a host of details on the game’s PC-exclusive features.
First, let’s talk about the system requirements. First, the game requires Windows 10 and 70 GB of free disk space. Next are the differences depending on the quality settings. The minimum settings at 720p require a system like this to run at 60fps:
- processor: Intel Core i5-3470 or AMD FX-8350;
- RAM: 8 GB;
- video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 270X;
- DirectX version: 11.
The recommended system for playing at 1080p at high quality settings and 60 frames per second looks much more impressive, but still modest by modern standards:
- processor: Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600;
- RAM: 16 GB;
- video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 480 (8 GB);
- DirectX version: 12.
The processor and video card required to run the game in 4K at 60 fps and maximum quality settings have not yet been named, but the amount of RAM remains the same – 16 GB. By the way, the video contains comparisons of picture quality in all three basic modes.
Also Outriders will allow PC players to change graphics settings by squeezing everything out of their system. You can choose the resolution and degree of rendering, as well as frame synchronization. There is even a separate video dedicated to working on ultra-wide monitors:
Among the graphic settings there is a choice of quality for effects, textures, shadows, post-processing, fog, full-screen anti-aliasing and draw distance. Of course, it will be possible to change the key bindings both for the mouse and keyboard bindings and for the controllers. It will also be possible to change the interface.
Interestingly, the game will be presented in 13 languages, and in Russian it will offer full dubbing in addition to the translation of the interface and subtitles. Supports fully cross-platform play for all versions, dynamic resolution change to stabilize performance, as well as NVIDIA DLSS and Ansel technologies. Mentioned the developers and support for the Razer Chroma RGB gaming peripherals, as well as the trading cards and backgrounds on Steam.
The Outriders demo will be available on February 25th for free for all users. Role-playing co-op shooter on PC (Steam and Epic), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S will launch on April 1, 2021, and later that year on the streaming service Google Stadia.
