Palit today officially expanded its range of GameRock graphics cards with new GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 models. New items have already appeared on the manufacturer’s official website, thanks to which most of their characteristics are known.

There is no information that the engineers who developed the G.Skill Trident Z Royal RAM kits had a hand in it either. Nevertheless, thanks to this unusual design, the Palit GameRock series video cards will definitely stand out from the general background.

The cooling systems for the cards themselves are quite massive. In a PC case, each card will occupy 2.7 expansion slots. The older GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 models are equipped with three 8-pin auxiliary power connectors. The younger GeForce RTX 3070 uses two 8-pin connectors.

The manufacturer officially announces the power consumption level of 420 watts for the GeForce RTX 3090 GameRock OC model. This is 70 W higher than the declared value of the reference version of this card from NVIDIA. For the GeForce RTX 3080 GamingRock OC, the company claims a TPD level of 370 W (50 W above the standard), and for the younger model GeForce RTX 3070 GameRock OC – 270 W, which is also 50 W higher than the level of power consumption declared for the reference version of the card. …

For the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 models, the company recommends using an 850W PSU. For the lower versions of the GeForce RTX 3070 GameRock, a 650W PSU is enough.

Unfortunately, Palit does not reveal all the details about the new products and does not indicate the level of their factory overclocking. Only the base frequency of the GPU is indicated, which does not differ from the reference values. At the same time, the manufacturer announces the use of a dual BIOS system with support for quiet and productive modes, “angelic” ARGB-backlighting, an embossed heatsink and two hardness plates for each of the cards.

Also the technology “0 decibel” is declared. In idle time and when launching multimedia applications, the video card works silently. The fans are activated only when the load increases, for example, during a game, when the GPU temperature exceeds 60 degrees.
