Belkin has released the Thunderbolt 3 Dock Core compact dock, designed for use with laptop computers running Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
The novelty is made in a black case with dimensions of only 100 × 100 × 30 mm. To connect to a laptop, a high-speed Thunderbolt 3 interface is used, providing bandwidth up to 40 Gb / s.
The device is endowed with DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 interfaces for connecting monitors. There is a Gigabit Ethernet network connector, a symmetric USB Type-C port, a standard 3.5 mm audio jack, one USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gb / s) port and USB-A 2.0 for connecting peripherals.
The novelty provides the ability to display images on a single 8K display (7680 × 4320 pixels) with a refresh rate of 30 Hz or a 5K panel (3840 × 2160 pixels) with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. In addition, it is possible to connect two monitors of the standard 4K at once (3840 × 2160 pixels) with a refresh rate of 30 or 60 Hz.
A two-year warranty is provided on the dock. The Thunderbolt 3 Dock Core is available at an estimated price of $ 170.
